DWIGHTMUN 2024: A Celebration of Diplomacy, Dialogue and Global Thinking
Dwight MUN 2024 brought together student delegates from near and far for three dynamic days of debate, diplomacy, and collaboration. With a focus on global issues such as sustainability and security, the conference provided a platform for future leaders to engage in thoughtful discussion, craft meaningful resolutions, and strengthen their skills in negotiation and public speaking.
Day 1
Day 1 started with a warm welcome in the Opening Ceremony to all the delegates who joined us from home and abroad. Our guest speaker, Lamis Al Hashimy, gave a wonderful speech about her company, Palmade, an Emirati initiative that makes sustainable products from fallen date palm tree leaves.

Day 2
Day 2 saw delegates diving into their second agendas with focus and determination. Each committee worked diligently, navigating through moderated and unmoderated caucuses to debate, negotiate, and collaborate on pressing global issues. The commitment to addressing sustainability and security was evident as students continued to refine and propose impactful resolutions. The day showcased teamwork and critical thinking at its best!

Day 3
DWIGHTMUN ’24 successfully concluded on Friday 6th December after 7 passed resolution presentations and many wonderful delegate speeches, all of which highlighted the pressing issues the world is facing. The Model United Nations conference is an important platform for the world’s future leaders to practice skilled debate and master the art of finding realistic solutions together.
The MUN Secretariat Team would like to congratulate our 3 Best Delegates, the 3 Best Delegate Runners-Up, and thanks all delegates who took part and worked hard throughout the conference. We would also like to thank the MUN advisors from all the schools who joined us for the conference and we look forward to welcoming you again next year for DWIGHTMUN ’25!
